纽约州基本计划（Essential Plan）是什么

在美国，选择医疗保险是一件非常具有挑战性的事情。许多保险公司会提供不同程度保障的保险以满足各种需求，但这会让许多初次接触医疗保险的留学生产生疑问。现在，对于在纽约的留学生和纽约市民来说，ISO是 纽约州卫生局 赞助的 Essential Plan（ 免费且高保障计划 ）的官方代理。
该 Essential Plan由纽约州政府资助，为纽约州低收入居民（包括留学生、游客、永久居民甚至美国公民）提供免费医疗保险。而通过ISO申请该计划的注册程序比纽约州官方保险更简单。
Essential Plan的申请资格
若能加入该计划，您需要满足以下所有条件：
- 有效签证持有者： F1、J1、M1、F2、J2、B1、B2 等。或永久居民或美国公民
- 纽约州居民
- 21-64 岁
- 年收入低于 $37,650
Essential Plan 的保障
这款计划提供高度全面的医疗保障，其中包括：
- $0自付额，因此该计划可以立即开始支付受保者的医疗费用
- 全方位福利保障，包括牙科，眼科，住院和门诊医院护理等
- 免费预防性医疗保健，如常规体检，接种疫苗等医疗服务
除上述服务外，受保者使用该计划定期看医生、看专科医生、急诊服务、实验室检测、处方药和心理健康治疗等。
目前，所有纽约市居民和大多数纽约州County, 包括New York (for Manhattan residents), Bronx, Kings, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester 均可选择该计划。
